OVW TV #952: "O, Look Who's Back"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, November 15, 2017. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 9PM, and online at www.ovwrestling.com/ovw-media.html. In this episode, Randall Floyd defends the OVW TV Title against Big Zo, Tony Gunn is upset about recent happenings, we hear from Jade Dawson, plus more!

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"The Bad Boys Club": "Bad Boy" Shane Andrews & "Double R Superstar" Randy Royal (w/"Bad Girl" Jessie Belle) defeat "Holy Water 2.0": Billy O & Aloicious Hamilton. Billy has a quick start, taking Shane down with a slam and a dropkick. Shane pokes him in the eye and tags Randy. Randy runs into an arm drag takedown. Billy & Alo double team Randy in the corner, with a splash from Alo and high knee from Billy. Randy runs Alo into his corner and tags Shane. They work him over. Randy hits the backstabber, then with Alo in the ropes, hits a knee to the face followed by a double foot stomp from Shane off the top rope. Shane hits a running forearm for 2. Randy drop toeholds Alo and Shane hits a running kick to the face. Alo tries a sunset flip off the ropes on Randy, but Randy drops an elbow and chops him. Randy grabs him, but Alo elbows out and hits an enziguri. Both men tag. Billy hits a huge spinebuster on Shane. He goes for a high knee in the corner, but Randy plows him over. Randy hits a Samoan drop, and Shane follows with a flying elbow drop for the 3.

Houdini defeats Cranium. They exchange armlocks early, then Cranium puts his knees up as Houdini goes for a leg drop. Cranium works over his left knee. Cranium locks in a submission, but Houdini tries to reverse. Cranium unlocks and kicks at the knee. Off the ropes, Cranium misses a knee drop. Cranium is still in control and goes for a headbutt on the knee, but misses. Houdini rolls him up for the 3.

"Margarita & Moonshine""Bad Girl" Jessie Belle & "Amazing" Maria James defeat "The Varsity Babes": Cali & Meg. Cali & Meg take the early advantage. Maria takes Meg down and Jessie rakes her back. She hits the Kiss My Grits and tags in Maria. Maria hits a bronco buster in the corner and then her & Meg connect at the same time with shots to the head. They both tag, and Cali fires away on Jessie. Meg tags back in and slams Jessie, then tags Cali and Cali is slammed on top of Jessie. As the ref gets Meg out, Maria breaks the pin. Meg spears Maria and they fight to the outside. Jessie hits the Belle Ringer on Cali for the 3.

David Lee Lorenze III & "The Bro Godz": Colton Cage & Dustin Jackson (w/OVW Women's Champion Jaylee) defeat "The River City Dragon" Logan James & OVW Southern Tag Team Champions "The Top Guys": Kevin Giza & "The Winter Swoldier" Adam Slade. LJ & the Top Guys have the early advantage, working over David's arm. The Bad Boys Club is out to watch. David & the Bros take advantage over LJ, triple teaming him in the corner. LJ gets a hot tag to Slade. All 6 men end up in the ring. LJ & Slade both fly out on the Bros. David goes up, acting like he is going to jump out on them. Meanwhile, the Bad Boys attack Slade with his shield on the outside and roll him in. David jumps down and hits the Director's Cut for the 3.

Tony Gunn interrupts Ted McNaler, KC, & Shannon the Dude as they are running down the card for tonight. Gunn says he is tired of everyone complaining and getting their way around here. He mentions Tyler Matrix and says as far as he's concerned, rematch clauses are 100 years old, and if you lose you should go to the back of the line.
This brings Tyler out, and Tyler says he's worked his butt off for 2 years to get where he's at, while Gunn has been shooting blanks since 2011. Gunn says 2010, but that's his point, Tyler gets handed title opportunity after title opportunity. He challenges Tyler to a match tonight for his #1 contendership. Tyler accepts. Dean Hill comes out to make sure Tyler is on board. He makes the match for the main event.

Dapper Dan defeats Adam Revolver. Dan is in control early with some power moves, and he hits a release German suplex and a belly-to-back suplex. Adam goes after the leg and works it over. Dan comes back, but gets distracted by Josh Ashcraft on the outside, who is keeping Ca$h Flo from interfering. Adam tries to roll Dan up for 2. Adam is in control and Shannon the Dude leaves commentary to hand him the Radio Title. Mike Lacett runs out and hits STD and takes the title away from Adam. Dan hits the Death Valley Driver for the 3.
After the match, Adam grabs Lacett from behind and rolls him in the ring. He pushes him to STD, and STD locks in a sleeper. Big Jon & Justin Smooth come out, and Adam rolls out. STD asks what he is doing and Adam says to look behind him. STD drops Lacett and turns around to find Jon & Smooth.
They take STD & Adam both out, and help Lacett back to his feet.

Ted McNaler interviews Jade Dawson. Jade says that Rev. Stu was finally exposed as the man he always knew he was, and he apologizes to the OVW faithful that they were all fooled. He says it will be him vs. Stu, "Dark Angel" vs. "Demon" at Thanksgiving Thunder next week, but he promises that the Dark Angel will come out on top.
Stu's music hits and he comes out dragging Damion & Chace Destiny by a chain. He drops them at ringside and gets in the ring, fighting with Jade. He gets the upperhand after a big clothesline, and hits a pedigree on Jade.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "The Real Deal" Randall Floyd (c) defeats Big Zo. Zo with the power early. He hits the cartwheel butt bump and the Are You Serious leg drop. He misses a Zo train, and Randall takes control. Zo tries to come back. He hits a big slam, but misses a charge in the corner. Randall connects with the Deal Breaker for the 3.
After the match, Randall adds insult to injury by putting Zo in a Boston crab.

"The Young Lion" Tyler Matrix defeats "Shotgun" Tony Gunn. The two exchange chops early. Gunn gets the upperhand, and Tyler is knocked to the outside where Michael Hayes has shown up. Tyler hits Gunn with a leg drop in the ropes, but Gunn regains control. Tyler comes back with a headscissors and gets Gunn on his shoulders, but Gunn elbows out. He hits a flying knee to the head of Tyler for 2. Off the ropes, Tyler comes back and takes Gunn down. He hits him with some shots before Gunn catches a kick and drops him for the YTO. Tyler fights out and charges off the ropes with flying forearms. Tyler catches him with a kick to the back, knocking him out of the ring. Tyler dives on Gunn on the outside. Back inside, Tyler hits him with a neckbreaker off the top. Gunn catches him with a German suplex version of the Three Amigos. Gunn puts Tyler up top, but Tyler headbutts him down. Tyler goes for the swanton, but Gunn puts his knees up and only gets a 2. Tyler comes back and takes Gunn down for the 3.
After the match, Hayes runs in and attacks Tyler. Jamin Olivencia runs out and gets in Hayes' face. They butt heads, but Hayes backs down and retreats.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

"The Void": Chace Destiny & Damion defeat "The Boy Wonder" Sam Thompson & "Livewire" KTDJosh Ashcraft Sam & KTD work over Chace early. Damion comes in and takes KTD down, but misses a headbutt drop. Sam & KTD with a double hip toss and elbow drop. Sam & KTD work over Damion's arm. KTD with a Russian leg sweep for 2. Damion tags Chace. Chace hits KTD with a big spinebuster. Chace & Damion kick KTD down and hit a double kick to both sides of his head. KTD comes back with a spinning uppercut. Both men tag. Sam with some hip tosses to Damion, but Chace takes him out. Chace throws KTD to the outside and they hit their finisher on Sam for the 3.
After the match, Rev. Stu comes out and takes KTD & Sam both out with the chain, then delivers a pedigree to both of them.

"The Trinidad Titan" Justin Smooth defeats The Blue Chipper & Christian Hernandez (w/Apollo). Smooth dominates Chipper, then hits a huge spinebuster on Christian after he tags in. A distraction from Apollo allows Christian to attack Smooth from behind. Christian & Chipper take control for a bit, but can't put Smooth away. Chipper goes for a suplex, but Smooth reverses into an inside cradle. Smooth clubs Chipper in the back hard and then takes him down with a bicycle kick. He hits Christian with a running big boot, then puts Chipper away with Street Justice for the 3.
