OVW TV #911: "Big Jon, Big Bounty"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, February 1, 2017. This episode can be seen on WBNA-21 in the Louisville area on Saturday at 11AM and 10PM, and online on Monday at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Big Jon says Rocco Bellagio has put a bounty out on him, Robbie Walker hosts another edition of Brush Hour, the Legacy of Brutality tries to get back on track against #1 contenders Billy O & Kevin Gizaplus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

Jade Dawson defeats El Stingray. Jade controls most of the match and picks up the win with the snap DDT.

Cardinal defeats The Blue Chippa in a squash match. Cardinal controls the entire match and puts Chippa away after a codebreaker off the shoulders for 3.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 11AM and 10PM (check local listings) and on OVW's official website Mondays at www.ovwrestling.com/tv.

Gilbert Corsey & Shannon the Dude are on commentary and Gilbert is the ring announcer.

Big Jon comes out and takes the mic. He says the whole thing between him & Rocco Bellagio is not just about the championship. The title is just a plus. He wants to get rid of the oiled-up baboon back from OVW. He found out that Rocco has put a bounty out on him. He said someone tried attacking him at the grocery store. He tells Rocco that him and the fans will get their revenge.
Jade Dawson runs out from behind and hits Jon in the back. Jon, barely fazed, turns around and asks Jade if he is serious. He says they used to train together, but he knows what has to happen. He grabs Jade and delivers a chokeslam. Rocco is then heard over the loudspeakers saying "Tick tock, tick tock, tick friggin' tock...".
He comes out and tells the fans to take their pictures and soak it all in, because this is the last time we will ever see Big Jon in an OVW ring. At SNS, his time is up!

"Wrestling's Rockstar" Diamond defeats LJDiamond controls most of this match. He works over LJ's arm, hits the reverse flying body press, hits a kick to LJ's head on the outside, and suplexes LJ in for the 3.

Kevin Giza & Billy O defeat "The Legacy of Brutality": Ca$h Flo & Big Zo (w/Josh Ashcraft). Zo powers through Billy early, but misses the Zo Train in the corner, and Ca$h wants in. Billy also tags Giza in. Ca$h hits some of his nasty chops and holds Giza for Zo to hit. Giza breaks free, and Zo hits Ca$h. Ca$h argues with Zo, and Giza rolls Ca$h up from behind for the quick 3! Ca$h is angry and attacks Giza & Billy.
Josh is arguing with Zo, and Rev. Stuart Miles comes out. He tells Zo that the fans love him and he doesn't have to put up with Josh Ashcraft. Ca$h blindsides him and hits his spinning faceplant. Josh tells Zo to give him a Zo Bomb. Zo does it and asks Josh if he's happy. Josh says he is and says if he did that more often, they would win more matches.

Robbie Walker comes out to host another edition of "Brush Hour". Robbie celebrates having a shiny new title, being the new OVW TV Champion. He talks about taking it from Tyler Matrix, just like he took his girl. He says his guest is the LOSER, Tyler Matrix. Matrix comes out and says he has a gift. He hands Robbie a little pink brush and tells him it represents the amount of manhood that Robbie has. He also says that as far as he can remember, he was defending his title most of the last year, while Robbie just had his leftovers. He says he is owed a rematch, and wants it tonight. Robbie refuses, and Diamond's music hits. He tells Robbie that he had him 3 weeks ago before he took a little detour and got rid of a big bald q-tip with a beard. He says Dean Hill thought the same thing, and it will be the two of them at SNS...plus Tyler Matrix in a triple threat match for the OVW TV Title!

Big Jon defeats "Shotgun" Tony Gunn by DQ. This was a very good match.
Jon connects with some big corner splashes and sets up for the chokeslam, but Dapper Dan runs out and attacks Jon. The Ringmaster runs out and knocks Dan out of the ring and then clotheslines Jon.
Dan gets back in and fights with Ringmaster, as Jon gets back up and double clotheslines them both. Rocco Bellagio comes out and tries to attack Jon with the belt, but Jon ducks it.
They brawl to end the show.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

Dapper Dan defeats Lucas Jacobs in a squash after hitting the Death Valley Driver.

"The Young Lion" Tyler Matrix defeats the Ringmaster in a good back and forth match after connecting with a kick to the face off the ropes for the 3.

As always, thanks for reading!
