OVW Friday Night Fights 2

This is a special OVW Report for Friday, July 24, 2015.

Tonight, OVW & Round Peg Promotions presented Friday Night Fights 2.

-Eddie Diamond defended the OVW Heavyweight Title against Chris Silvio in a TLC match.

-The Bodyguy got more than he bargained for in an intergender shoot fight.

-OVW Southern Tag Team Champions Wylde & Reckless were in action, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

After Ryan Howe rocks a guitar solo in the rafters, Brittany Devore, tonight's ring announcer, brings out our host for the evening: Cliff Compton.
Cliff isn't hosting alone, his partner is Mary Elizabeth Monroe.
Cliff & Mary ask everyone if they are ready to have a good time, but are interrupted by the Bodyguy.
Bodyguy says since he was last in this building, he became the intergender shoot fighting champion of the world. Unfortunately, there are no women here tonight to face him. He makes a remark at Mary, and she tries to go after him, but Cliff holds her back. They set up an intergender fight between Bodyguy & Mary tonight.

Dapper Dan Van Zandt (w/the Family Circus: Ringmaster & Scarlet) defeats Jade Dawson.
Ringmaster & Scarlet both get involved, but Jade is able to fight them off. It allows Dan to recover and catch Jade off the top rope for the spinning sit-out powerbomb for the 3.

"Manbeast" Ted McNaler defeats "Ocho Man" Ochentas: The 80's Luchador.
Ted comes out and asks Ochentas if he is really all about 80's wrestling. Ted says he thinks 90's wrestling was the best and makes a wager. Ted will use all 90's moves against Ochentas' 80's moves to see which decade was better. Ted uses a Rock Bottom, People's elbow, pedigree, and attempts a chokeslam and sweet chin music, while Ochentas does the Superfly Splash, Camel Clutch, bionic elbows, figure four, Hulk legdrop, etc. In the end, Ted hits Ochentas with a Stone Cold Stunner for the 3.

Ryan Howe defeats Eric Locker (w/Josh Ashcraft).
Howe has the early advantage, but Locker comes back and hits several various suplexes. Josh interferes once and pulls down the rope for Howe to fall out of the ring. He tries again later, and Howe catches him and slaps the sunglasses off his face. Josh gets mad and exposes a turnbuckle while the ref is distracted, but Howe falls off Locker's shoulders and dropkicks him into the exposed steel. He goes up and hits the Chart Topper for 3.

OVW Southern Tag Team Champions "Wylde & Reckless": "Standout" Adam Wylde & "Primetime" Robbie Walker defeat Bruce Leroy & "Latin American Male" Ramon.
Bruce Leroy gets in a lot of kung fu moves while Ramon does a lot of dancing. A lot of fast and wild moves from Wylde & Walker, including a cross-path dive to the outside on Ramon & Leroy. Wylde hits a crazy flip dive that is followed up by a senton bomb from Walker for the 3.

Mary Elizabeth Monroe defeats the Bodyguy.
Bodyguy locks in a few moves, but Mary Elizabeth comes back and catches Bodyguy in a cross armbreaker for the tapout.

The OVW Heavyweight Title is hung above the ring.

OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE TLC MATCH: "Ultraviolent" Chris Silvio vs. Eddie Diamond.
A brutal back and forth contest. Some chair shots early and early attempts at grabbing the title.
Silvio & EFD fight on the apron and both fall through a table on the outside. Back inside, Silvio throws a chair at EFD's head. It causes him to get a huge gash and blood starts pouring. They have to stop the match and wrap EFD's head up in less than 5 minutes according to the KBWA, or he will have to forfeit. EFD gets wrapped up, but Silvio blindsides him. Silvio goes to powerbomb him through a table, but EFD reverses and flips Silvio on one. Back inside, Silvio recovers and hits a rocket punch out of nowhere. Silvio climbs up and grabs the title!
WINNER and NEW OVW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: SILVIO.

As always, thanks for reading!

    3. That's always been a part of his character, being called the Bodyguy, but not having the ideal "body". He has packed on a bit since last regularly appearing in OVW, though.

  5. MEM is back in OVW huh? Considering they SEEM to be interested in bringing back women again, it's nice to see her. They still need a few more women and more focus on the them before anyone can really believe in their opinion on womens wrestling again.
