OVW TV #760: "Danny Davis' Major Announcement"

This is the OVW Report for Wednesday, March 12, 2014. This episode can be seen online starting tomorrow at www.ovwrestling.com/tv. In this episode, Danny Davis makes a major announcement about the Sunday Night Special, TV Champion Melvin Maximus is in action, the Bodyguy is still looking for a win to get out of the dress, plus more!

Without further ado:

Here we go...

Pre-Show Dark Matches:

"The Double R Superstar" Randy Royal vs. "Ram Jam" Johnathan Ramser.
Royal goes right after Ram Jam and totally dominates, finishing him off with a reverse russian leg sweep for the 3.
WINNER: ROYAL by pinfall.

"The Pastor of Disaster" Rev. Stu Miles comes to the ring. Today's word is reality, something that the fans don't live in. For instance, he points to one lady, and says that her beauty is not reality, because it can be wiped off with a moist towelette. He says the fans trust Frank Miller, a man who goes by Trailer Park Trash. He says that Frank doesn't care about the fans. Finally, he says he is not just cleansing, but purifying OVW and to pay special attention to the TV taping later on. Hallelujah.

OVW Women's Champion Jessie Belle vs. Ray Lyn.
Ray Lyn twerks her way to the ring, but doesn't get much offense. Jessie Belle finishes her off with a sleeper hold.
WINNER: JESSIE BELLE by submission.

That concludes tonight's pre-show dark matches. I always recommend watching the episode first on TV or online before reading the rest of the report. Again, you can check it out on OVW's official website late Thursday afternoon/evening at www.ovwrestling.com/tv and on WBNA ion-21 in the Louisville area Saturdays at 9AM and 10PM (check local listings).

Gilbert Corsey, Dean Hill, & Michael Titus are all on commentary with Shannon the Dude as the ring announcer.

Gilbert Corsey starts off in the ring and brings out OVW Owner Danny Davis. Danny brings out Timmy Danger, Marcus Anthony, & Jamin Olivencia.
First, he saw the note that was handed to Josh Ashcraft that said Chris Sharpe had a family emergency. He asks Timmy Danger if he was involved in it in any way. Danger claims he had nothing to do with it. Danny says if he finds out otherwise, Timmy will be gone. He then moves on to the Sunday Night Special. He says that he has to agree with Timmy that since Jamin lost, he does fall back in line. Later tonight, there will be a #1 contender's match involving Ryan Howe and a former 2-time OVW Champion. However, he can give Jamin one thing he wants. At the Sunday Night Special, Jamin will face Timmy Danger in a street fight! Danny says he knows Jamin could take him out with one punch, so to even things up a little bit, Timmy can win as normal by pinfall or submission, but Jamin can win by stripping Timmy down to his underwear!

Leon Shelly vs. Shiloh Jonze (w/Tony Gunn, Nick Dumeyer, & "Rudo" Raul LaMotta).
Shiloh yells throughout the match "Are you watching?" at Tony Gunn. He attacks Leon from the get-go, hitting and chopping him. He puts him away quickly with the mandible claw.
WINNER: SHILOH by submission.
After the match, Shiloh grabs a mic and again yells at Gunn, making him get down on his knees. He tells Gunn he is letting him down and that he has another shot at redemption tonight.

OVW TELEVISION TITLE: "Primetime" Robbie Walker vs. "Mister Marvelous" Melvin Maximus (c).
Melvin locks Robbie in a side headlock. Robbie stomps on his foot to get out. He runs off the ropes, but collides into Melvin like a brick wall. He tries again, but to no avail. He tries a third time, but is caught in the bearhug and forced to tap.
WINNER and STILL OVW TV CHAMPION: MELVIN by submission.

Gilbert Corsey interviews Michael Hayes & Mohamad Ali Vaez at ringside. Before Ali can answer about Adam Revolver helping him in the event Hayes isn't cleared, they are attacked by Dylan Bostic & the Mexicutioner.
They handcuff Hayes to the ropes, and then hit 2 backstabbers on Ali, before hitting him several times with a steel chair. The Mexicutioner brings out scissors and a razor, and they begin shaving off Ali's beard.
Adam Revolver runs out with a steel chair to chase Dylan & the Mexicutioner off.

Backstage, the Pastor of Disaster says he is here to eliminate any trace of Paredyse. The flame of cleansing will eliminate any memories of the disgusting vile creature known as Paredyse, as he throws a picture of him into a fire.

Tony Gunn vs. Eddie F. Diamond.
Tony hits EFD, and delivers a snapmare. He locks him in a headlock and kicks him. He hits him with some lefts and throws him to the corner. EFD gets up on the ropes and hits a cross body. He goes for the Soulja Boy, but Gunn rolls away and hits him in the throat. He goes to grab EFD, but EFD locks him in the Cripwalk Crossface, forcing Tony to tap.
WINNER: EFD by submission.
After the match, Shiloh Jonze comes out and smacks Tony in the head, telling him he has failed him. Next week, he has one final shot at redemption and there will not be a strike 3!

The Bodyguy vs. Fabiano Rolento.
Fabiano twists Bodyguy's nipples and discovers he was stuffing his dress as he pulls out a wad of toilet paper. Bodyguy hits Fabiano from behind and twists his neck in a submission. Fabiano fights out, hitting Bodyguy with 3 atomic drops. He then locks him in a side headlock and delivers a knockout punch for the 3.
WINNER: FABIANO by pinfall.

#1 CONTENDER'S MATCH for the OVW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE: "Wrestling's Rockstar" Ryan Howe vs. Vaughn Lilas.
Lilas hits and chops Howe around the ring. Howe starts firing back and hits the Chart Topper, but Lilas gets his foot on the ropes. Lilas hits Howe with a big boot, but Howe catches Lilas in the armbreaker to get the tapout.
WINNER and NEW #1 CONTENDER: HOWE by submission.

This ended the TV taping.

Post-Show Dark Matches:

None tonight.

This episode of OVW TV will be up online tomorrow. As always, thanks for reading!

  1. Saturday Night Special on Wrestlemania sunday seems like a strange idea to me.. Do you see Tony Gunn fighting Shiloh at the SNS? Also what was up with the refs tonight? Ashcraft was yelling at the new guy and he wasnt around to help Ali and Mike.. thoughts?

    1. They are pushing that everyone will be out before the pay per view. They overscheduled that weekend.

Yes, I think that Gunn vs. Shiloh will happen. If not at the SNS, soon.

I'm interested to see what happens with Josh. Seems to me he has a chip on his shoulder about something and how it all plays out will be fun to watch.

    2. From what I understand after watching it is that they are going to show Wrestlemania THERE, so whoever goes to the SUNDAY Night Special will be watching Wrestlemania 30 right after. Not a bad deal and a good way to gets a lot of people to show up there.

    3. Nevermind. I heard it wrong. Dean Hill said after the Sunday Night Special "Go get something to eat, then go watch Wrestlemania!" lol

    4. That would have been a cool idea, though.

  2. Hey, who do you think Assassin is? A Bolin? Cuz he sure looks like a Bolin profile to me! His build; his head; or am I wrong? Who do you think he is? Will he ever be revealed?

  3. Also, I have a serious question- what do you think the true motive was behind Jessie Belle hiring Randy Royal? I thought that he'd never have a problem with women! At first, he did NOT seem like it! He also returned out in the open- he was someone that we'd never expect to be the assailant! That was so full of mystery, as to who it was- I'd kept looking at his photo and I never thought it was him! Also, who ordained the Assassin to perform a wedding? LOL! I'm like, huh? When did Bodyguy's bully ever become someone who could marry someone? I am laughing about it right now, truthfully! LOL! :)

    1. The Assassin is...an assassin. His identity will remain a mystery, I'm sure, but I can guarantee you he is not a Bolin. He is also an actual clergyman, so that is the reason he could perform the ceremony.

I think Jessie Belle hired Randy Royal because she didn't believe she could beat Lei'D Tapa on her own. Royal has also been quoted as saying he is "the white trash millionaire", because he will take money any time he can get his hands on it.

  4. Yeah, Randy is always wanting to get ahold of that Title Belt; when is he getting another shot at a belt? And Assassin is a clergy? Does he have a story coming up with Stuart Miles? Pastor of Disaster? Could they? It'd be cool! :)

  5. Also, I think that Danny's announcement on Timmy Danger was tremendous! I was laughing so hard I almost fell out of my chair! Great move by Mr. Davis! Also, how many careers has Timmy ended? I also think he and RR could be on the same page, too, with their love of money and power! Also, I hope Hayes and Ali are doing okay; and congrats to Howe on another win! Love OVW! OVW RULES!
