OVW Old School Results: August 4, 2013

Tonight, OVW presented its first ever "Old School" show. Fans were transported back in time with wrestling, wrestling attire, and theme music from the 70's & 80's. It was a lot of fun and a great time to just sit back and enjoy some good old wrestling action.

Soon, this show as well as last night's Saturday Night Special will be available through the following link with Video on Demand:

Here's what you missed if you didn't make it to the Davis Arena:

Eddie Diamond defeated Jack Dundee via submission to the abdominal stretch.
Flash Flanagan defeated Stephon "Rump Thump" Smith via submission to the Figure Four Leglock.
Dylan Bostic defeated Joe Rosa after Rosa passed out to the sleeper hold.
Ali Akbar won a battle royal that also featured Rudy Switchblade, Timmy Danger, Aaron Sky, Elvis Pridemoore, Gonzales, The All-American, J. Best, & Mondo.
The Thunder Gun Xpress ("Thunder" Joe Coleman & "Shake and Bake" Shiloh Jonze) defeated The Elite (Ted McNaler & Adam Revolver w/Michael Titus) via double pinfall.
Cliff Compton defeated The Bodyguy (w/Taeler Hendrix) via sunset flip pinfall.

The next Old School show is scheduled for Sunday, September 1st. Doors open at 4, with bell time at 5. Admission is only $5. "Superstar" Bill Dundee is slated to appear.

  1. Mondo, as in Mike Mondo?
Also are the All-American and Gonzales guys who've wrestled for OVW before?

    1. Not Mike Mondo. Mondo is the Assassin (unmasked). The All-American was Nick Dumeyer in a mask with red, white, and blue attire. Gonzales was the VIP Club's Roberto De Luna who was dressed in green and looked like he was a long lost member of the Spirit Squad.

  2. Cool, thanks for the info!

Also, I'm noticing there are 10 guys in the ring in that pic. Was someone else in the match too?

    1. Yeah, I missed one. The second one over in the blue trunks...I didn't catch his name, though.

    1. They said "soon after" the shows happened. No official date, but I would assume within the next week.
